Riverview IB welcomes students who are ready for a challenging academic experience and interested in becoming thoughtful, curious and engaged learners.
Admission to the IB program begins with a Riverview IB application. Enrollment with Sarasota County Schools is a separate process and may include additional steps depending on where a student lives.

Who Can Apply?
Admission requirements vary depending on when a student is entering Riverview IB.
ENTERING 9TH GRADE
Students applying for ninth grade should have strong academic performance in their core coursework (including Algebra 1 in eigth grade) and be prepared for the rigor of the IB curriculum.
ENTERING AFTER 9TH GRADE
Students seeking admission after ninth grade may be considered based on academic performance, previous coursework and the ability to enter the appropriate sequence of IB courses.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Application + Enrollment Are Separate Steps
Applying to Riverview IB and enrolling at Riverview High School are separate processes.
The Riverview IB application is used for admission to the IB program. Sarasota County Schools manages school registration, enrollment and any applicable School Choice requirements.
Families should follow the instructions provided by Riverview IB after admission to complete the appropriate enrollment steps.
