OVERVIEW OF THE IB PARENTS ORGANIZATION

Welcome to the IB Parent Organization (IBPO).  Membership in the IBPO is the best way you can support the IB program here at Riverview. We sponsor various programs that enhance the academic, social and training aspects of the pre-IB (9th and 10th grades) and IB (11th and 12th grades) programs.

Membership does not need any time commitment on your part, although there are numerous volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. Our membership dues and fundraising revenues help provide the financial resources for our services.

Some specific programs include the creation of a Directory of all IB students, distributed to the IBPO families. We also have created this new website to keep you informed of events, deadlines, and important announcements. This website will take the place of our quarterly newsletter. Please visit often!

We sponsor functions for each grade level, including a Freshman Breakfast, a Sophomore Bag Lunch, the Junior Pinning Ceremony and the Senior Graduation Banquet. We also provide some academic enhancements, such as tutorials for college essay writing, and occasional adjunct teacher services in identified areas. In addition, we help sponsor teacher training for IB.

If you have not already done so, please print the following membership and volunteer forms and send them to the IB office at Riverview.

Thank you for supporting the International Baccalaureate Program!
